Diana Nooten / Marcel Notebaert / Daniël Onukpa

This dutch woman painter really made a variety of work.
It is allways moving and smashing around and therefore
it has the elements of this time.
A remarkable paintress for me!

Marcel Notebaert

A strange move within the Belgium art world that
in fact excels in diversity. Marcel Notebaert is presented
here with a strong watercolor that is part of his
work in the fantastic and surrealistic world.

A detail is presented here that is betraying his great
skills and without being just a refined copyist he is
able to tell us a story as well!

Notebaert or Notebart simply signed his work with "Noteb"
as this work and others show. A comic feature here is that
the dog welcomes the new visitors as there are only his
traces that lead towards the figures in the foreground.
The visitors still have to check in!

Daniël Quartay Onukpa

These works have accurateness as well as power
once you are standing ion front of them. They were
made on a cheap kind of cotton on a non adjustable
frame. I placed them on a wooden panel that I
thickened at the edges so they are able to last for
a longer time.

This second work was offered at the same auction and
my daughter was blown away by these works. That's
why we decided the give them both as a present for
her birthday.

Much can be told about the symbols in these works
but we haven't been able to find more information
about this unknown painter.

The back of this cotton has been copied and placed on the back
of both panels. There is no need for future owners to explore
these works once again.
