Alexander Vogels / Nico Vrielink / Graham Walker

A rather big painting on canvas from the ditch artist Alexander
Vogels. To experience his painting one has to be there in reality.
His lyrical abstract style has been derived from ancient cultures
regarding the forms used.

Most paintings have been signed on the back as well and
they do posses a number, probably ment for documentation.

in this detail the forceful color blue is evident.

And another detail....

His name and a price in Belgian francs. Today it would
have been about Euro 2850,-

His signature and the addition (19)99.

Even more in style with the various litho technique prints
that are widely spread is this gouache, enlisted behind glass.

And a third work by this artist based on his Australian
ecperiences. He lived there for a while.

A more readable signature at the moment it ws in 1995.

The signature on the back and the title.

This worldwide renowned artist isn't that cheap so we
had to wait a while in order to obtain a genuine work
from his hand. But finally we were lucky to obtain
this remarkable one. Jeans of course but with
mystifying eyes. Dimensions: 100 / 70cm.

The eyes that are the centre of this painting. Most
of the time other elements are "distracting" the
attention of the observer but here it is obvious.

Another detail in which his typical colors play a role.

Scratching in the paint makes his work eve more vivid.

We thank he makes his encadrements often himself.

And the signature of course which is scratched in the paint.
More artists should do this order to prevent falsifications.

Graham Walker

This painting suggest mixed techniques in order
In fact it has all been done with oil paint which
to achieve a sculpture like look.
makes this work quite remarkable for me.
The artist works with layers of paint in order
to create different colour effects when lighted.
Oil on Canvas. Dimensions: 40 - 50 cm.
