Tagliabue / Gianni Testa / Terechkovitch

A nice and very well done litho by this italian artist.
It has been made for the 5th international cat exposition
held in Milan. Though this event has been printed later on
this litho it is absolutely a litho 3 out of 200 and
signed in pencil on the right. Dimensions 40 / 70 cm.

Terechkovitch

A very special litho as it has been hand signed and on
Japanese Velin paper. Printed in this way only 19 copies
were made.

Of course the inevitable signature in the plate.

But this one certainly is original and in black ink.

Of course there aren umerous copies of this picture
but collectors allways search for the more exclusive ones.
And indeed the one and only original work has been kept
behind, probably for future editions.

By clicking on this picture you are able to study the
Japanese Velin paper.

Again, on Velin paper this was THE big surprise: We only
saw this extra litho on the back just when we got the first
work in our hands. Rather small but intriguing as well.

The label on the back states it to be one of the 21 original
lithographs where the book "La vieille et les deux servants"
was illustrated with.

This artist actually lived in Paris (France) and worked
there most of his life. This litho is quite typical for
the way he worked in a certain period. We have this work
allready for along time in our posession and we do realise
now that the original signature and title in pencil is a
valuable extra.Work on paper. Dimensions: 25 - 35 cm.

His signature this time done in pencil.

Dated and with a personal message!

Gianni Testa

Another example of his work shows two horses
that are making a kind of lovedance.
The movement in spite of the small dimensions
of the works is allways there as well as the
apperently "moving" background.
Nice work! Oil on marouflé.

This Italian artist is based in Rome and his horses are allways
immediately recognizable. He often paints on canvas sticked
on board that has the dimensions 24 / 30 cm.
Besides that he signs his works as a proof of authenticity
on the back as well. These works were stamped on the
back by Galleria TARTAGLIA ARTE that still excists at the
via XX Settembre, 98 c/d 00187 - Roma.
Oil on Marouflé. Dimensions 24 / 30 cm.

Theo Tobiasse

Israelian art can be admired at various places in my Blogs
and in fact Theo Tobiasse (France) is responsible for the
heritage of jewish art a bit similar to Marc Chagall and
in France the still active Raya Sorkine. Litho.

For people who are wondering wether if the signature
on their work is OK. This one fits the examples found on
the internet! Edition 88 out of 99 examples.
