Alain Raya Sorkine (1936)
Alain Raya Sorkine was a french born artist that
signed his works with his mothers' name. The subject
he choses often are musicians and mostly are jewish.
The colours however are mostly much brighter and
more joyful. Wether if this is an original work we
still have to investigate but there are some "darker'
works around 1969. Above the signature some
Israelic prefixes can be seen. We still have to investigate
what the exact meaning is. Work on paper.
Dimensions 30 / 40 cm.
On the official Raya Sorkine website there is a letter written by
the artist and the signature at the end has some resemblance.
And after E-mailing this 77 years old artist he allmost immediately
stated it to be one of his earlier works. That was good news!
